rl grime: halloween x

RL Grime is best known for his yearly Halloween mixes. Halloween 2021 was the first mix in a live show. We needed to create something that was both haunting and mind-blowing for the audience.

CONCEPT

The design focused on the visuals created explicitly for this one-time show. We built the largest LED screen that fits at the Hollywood Palladium, giving the audience the feeling of being encompassed in an IMAX-style movie screen. The team kept the project within the budget by utilizing a part of the venue's lighting system and seamlessly building our elements around it.

Creative Director Andrew Keyser managed a team of animators to create a collection of thriller-themed visuals. In addition, using Lit Creative’s visual content from the Sable Valley tour.

Pre-Production

Lit Creative handled the stage design, 3D renderings, and plots needed to visualize and build the show. Previsualization software was used leading up to the show so the client could watch, approve, and make changes to the show virtually.
